Communications Officer, MECS
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS) Programme; MECS is a 39.8 million programme funded by UK Aid through the Department for International Development, led by Loughborough University.
MECS is seeking a Communications Officer to work in close collaboration with existing Communications Officer. The post holder will work with the existing Communications Officer and the Partnerships Manager (also a new role) to play a critical role in achieving the narrative change needed, both on a programmatic level (e.g. through high-level policy influence) and by working with our in-country partners to identify what a change in narrative looks like in different contexts.
MECS is aiming to drive impact and change at scale, it’s not just about paraphrasing our research into a shorter document. The post holder may be required to travel to work with partners across the UK and overseas.
If you are an organised, methodical team player, with excellent communication skills, this is a great opportunity to join our team and to make a positive contribution to the project.
Informal enquiries about the post should be made by email to Dr Louise Medland (l.s.medland@lboro.ac.uk).
Closing date for the receipt of applications: 30th August 2022
Interviews will be held during the week commencing: 19th September 2022
Further information on the post can be found at this link.
