RFA: Clean Cooking and Non-Communicable Diseases
The Alliance is pleased to announce a request for proposal (RFA) to support research to evaluate the links between exposure to household air pollution and chronic respiratory and cardiovascular disease. All Alliance partners are eligible to apply. Letters of Intent are highly encouraged and are due on August 21, 2015. Applications are due on October 12, 2015 at 11:59 pm EDT. Please submit all inquiries, letters of intent, and full applications to research@cleancookstoves.org.
Up to $500,000 will be available to support 3-5 studies over a 12 – 24 month period, dependent on the scope and scale of activities proposed. Of particular interest are: 1) studies measuring the impact of adopting clean cooking on predictors of chronic respiratory and cardiovascular disease, and 2) studies providing direct evidence of the link between exposure to household air pollution and cardiovascular disease. Given the limited budget and tight timeline for studies to be completed, opportunities to leverage ongoing projects and/or existing datasets are highly encouraged.
