Rio+20: World Leaders Convene at UN Conference on Sustainable Development
This June (17-22), thousands of people from all over the world will meet in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to discuss how to reduce poverty, advance social equity and ensure environmental protection for the purpose of ultimately shaping a more sustainable future for humanity as a whole. The Alliance Secretariat and many of its partners are also headed to Rio and will participate in many high- level events to draw attention to clean cookstoves and fuels as a way of increasing access to clean energy for the billions around the world who lack modern energy for cooking.
