New Behavior Change Communication Resource launched

In an effort to further catalyze the use of clean cookstoves and fuels, the Alliance has launched the “BCC Resource Hub”, a global database of behaviour change communication materials and resources from communication and marketing campaigns in the clean cooking sector.

BCC utilizes communication strategies to motivate people to adopt healthier behaviors, products, and services.  To generate demand for and encourage sustained use of clean cooking solutions, the Alliance has supported BCC campaigns in Bangladesh, Ghana, Guatemala, Kenya, Nigeria, and Uganda.

The Resource Hub includes materials from these campaigns and others undertaken in the sector, as well as marketing materials used by clean cooking and fuel enterprises, and toolkits and evaluation reports. Visitors to the Resource Hub can listen to a radio telenovela on clean cooking from Guatemala, watch an advertisement for a stove in India, and read about testing of health messages in Cambodia.

The Resource Hub serves as a resource for stakeholders in the clean cooking sector to learn which communications approaches are most effective, enabling them to design successful campaigns that result in more sales and consistent use of improved stoves and fuels.

To access the Alliance’s BCC Resource Hub, visit https://cleancookstoves.org/resourcehub. For inquiries, or to have your organization’s BCC, awareness raising, or marketing materials related to clean cooking included in the Resource Hub, email knowledge@cleancookstoves.org.
