Clean Cooking Activities
Almost every school and medical facility in Africa needs improved cookstoves. AHEAD Energy is assisting our clients to install stoves built by local contractors. All stoves are based on Rocket stove technology. We have arranged for stove workshops and recently trained 40 people in Western Uganda in the art of stove building. We are assisting with setting up a stove brick-making business in Kasese District and launching a charcoal stove retail business. None of our clients have the funds to purchase institutional stoves on their own, so the scale of our work is totally dependent on having philanthropic funds to devote to this work. The schools and clinics that AHEAD Energy works with are in urban and rural areas of Uganda, Kenya, Mozambique, and Ghana. All our clients are extremely poor.

We would like to stay informed about the cookstoves available in the countries where we work. We can provide information in this regard as well. We would also like to be connected with donors concerned about providing schools and medical facilities with fuel-efficient institutional stoves.
