Communities around Hwange National Park are rural communities with little acces to eletricity firewood, charcoal and coal are the major source of energy used .Women and young girls speend a lot of time in the Bush collecting firewood. As Tikobane Trust we seek to work with woman and young girls to create mud and cow doung made stoves that burn with less firewood and produce little smoke. We also seek to capacitate woman on the need of growing trees so that as we collect firewood we also grow trees .We have an intrest in biogas and solar as other alternatives to clean cooking.
Partnership
As Tikobane Trust we would appreciate to partner Clean Cooking Alliance as an implementer .We seek to learn and implement your strategies and innovations on how we can teach and educate woman on clean cooking.
Tikobane Trust will contribute mobilisation of women and young women for the programs. We are also going to monitor and follow up on the programs .
