Andrea Blanco Toro
Regional Energy Advisor for Food Security, World Food Programme
Andrea Blanco Toro is Regional Energy Advisor for Food Security in the WFP Regional Office in Dakar, deployed by NORCAP. The regional office supports 19 country offices in West and Central Africa and Andrea supports the integration of sustainable energy interventions into their programs. She previously worked as an energy analyst in the private sector, where she coordinated projects on energy transition strategies and climate policy assessment for governments and development agencies. Andrea holds a BSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Queen Mary, University of London, and MSc Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London.
