Nishdeep Sethi

Group Director, Structured Finance, African Guarantee Fund

Nishdeep Sethi is the Group Director of Structured Finance at the African Guarantee Fund. With over 13 years of experience in the financial sector, Nishdeep’s current role focuses on structuring transactions with various partners, fundraising and project management

Additionally, she oversees the implementation of the Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa – Guarantee for Growth program (AFAWA G4G) which aims to enhance the capacity of financial institutions to address the needs of women entrepreneurs

Prior to joining African Guarantee Fund, Nishdeep was the Head of Wealth Products at Standard Chartered Bank. She has received several accolades during her career, including, a global award for her contribution to product development and change management.

She holds a master’s degree in International Business and Entrepreneurship from the European Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Development Economics and International Development from Towson University.

Nishdeep is passionate about Africa’s economic growth and the role of women entrepreneurs in advancing the continent’s growth; she envisions a world where equal-based financial opportunities are provided to all Small and Medium Enterprises and works towards mobilizing partnerships to achieve this.
